Does Steph Curry leave Golden State? 👀
As a life-long fan of the Golden State Warriors I cannot fathom a world where Steph Curry does not play in the ‘Bay. I also understand that this front office has done nothing for him post-2020.
Many people are speculating that Steph Curry could be on the move to a contender because as of right now, the Golden State Warriors are not in any shape to compete for an NBA championship. Jimmy Butler is hurt, Porzingis gets hurt more than anything and this team - aside from Yaxel and Podz (I know) is aching for young talent.
Steph Curry’s ring in 2022 may go down as one of the best when you look at the state of that team. Klay Thompson immediately regressed and left soon after, Draymond ‘Triple-Digit’ Green will go on to punch their only hope of a new dynasty in practice, and Andrew Wiggins will leave to the Heat after a mediocre season/s.
What happened to Giannis? The ultimate plan for Lebron? Hell even Lauri Markkanen I would’ve been happy with. Alas, nothing. Nothing to help their multiple time MVP, finals winner, finals MVP winner, and overall best player in their franchise history.
The front office is too scared to send multiple 1st rounders away because they are focused on the post-Steph team, but I argue that Curry still has a couple more ELITE years ahead of him because his game is made to grow old. Anytime you have a top-10 player OF ALL TIME (yes I said it) you MUST be competing every year. That is the problem with Lebron and why he went to Philadelphia, but why is it not the same for Curry?
As a fan, I understand if Curry wanted to leave Golden State, and cannot be mad when there has been nothing to keep him staying aside from the allure of grabbing another ring. What do you think?
